Day 49 Saturday October 1
The city tour by coach started at 10 am. We visited City Hall but there is a lot of renovation going on. Next we saw the Royal Palace and the Nobel Prize Museum in Old Town, Gamla Stan. Later we went to the Vasa museum. The Nobel Prize Museum showcases information about the Nobel Prize and Nobel prizewinners, as well as information about the founder of the prize, Alfred Nobel. It is located in the former Stock Exchange building in Stortorget square. The Vasa Museum is a maritime museum on the island of Djurgarden, the museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th-century ship that has ever been salvaged, the 64-gun warship Vasa that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628.
